These are of a rooster that was almost caught and had its crop tore open and then later had its tail tore off .I don't know what is going after him.

Great pics!

can a bird survive long term with his crop torn open like that? I have no idea.
Good stuff Chuck! Your feeding must be helping as everything looks pretty good despite the winter severity. Any deer pics? How are they looking?

Thanks guys .I have not been out to check the deer cams since Jan 15 I'm sure they all have dead batteries . Will check this weekend if I can get to them. I have five out in deer spots but with minus temps you never know how they will work

Pic of the bird with his crop torn open is unreal. One lucky bird cause you know something had a hold of him. Great pics!

You are, as usual, The Master, Chuck! Thank you. The 'Yote was apparently either looking for roughage (or perhaps met the unlucky-then-lucky Rooster?).

Have you seen your birds since then--besides on camera? I'm curious on how they've been doing with all the cold/snow:(.

I seldom see any birds while checking cams but tracks all over . The turkeys have not been around lately though so less competition for the corn.

THANKS CHUCK!! Hope you had a great Birthday!!1:coolpics:
