I believe she has had kits and looks like they have been sucking on her. This is one of the kits from last year that the neighbor live trapped and put a ring in its ear

Thanks I thought the same thing with the ring in the ear but looked back at last years pics and the one last year was in the other ear. I am going to ask the guy if he did it again.

It was in the other ear. Maybe a new breed in the offing . . . Vulpes Vulpe Anellus . . .

Tremendous shots there. Thanks. As someone who has shot more reds than any one man ever should be able to back when they were populous, I can happily say that I haven't shot one in almost 20 years! If there ever was an animal that got a bad reputation in life for no reason, it's old Reynard. They are incredibly beautiful animals. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but they will always get a pass from me for the rest of my time on this side of the grass. I still love going out and spotting them, and whenever I see one that is possibly in harms way, send. Him or her on its way.

Thanks for the photos.

we have a few left here in MN they seem to like the taste of my chickens & pheasants in pens??? i hate to ever have to pop a red fox but gray fox are even more rare to me??? a coyote gets no pass lol

CG,

I always love your pic's. The ear ring had me befuddled last year and yes this one is in the wrong ear. Why is your friend live trapping and releasing foxes??? Is it because the are not adults and he is selling furs???

He is a older gentleman and I asked today if he put rings in two and he said he did not remember for sure but might have done one the year before too. He knows I have a camera on the den site.
