Nice pics guys but you have to wake up pretty early to beat these lazy mutts.:D

They don't even have sense enough to chase birds right in front of them.

And dare I say the laziest, no class mongrel of them all!

Steve, I love that last pic with the hats. I love their look like "Why do you insist on humiliating us?" Here's Daisy doing the same look.

The hats has been a tradition of my daughter's since she was little..All the dogs have to wear a Santa hats and get a picture by the Christmas tree.

Actually they suprised me, she couldn't throw them running in the pasture. I ordered them for our chukar hunt but they didn't arrive on time and Daisy broke a nail on the lava rock.:( Haven't tried them on a hunt yet.

boots

actually the boots she has on were to protect her toe nails as he just had them painted at the nail salon. as for that setter guy, it's really neat that you could train your dogs to use a body board to retrieve ducks, that way when the mutt came back it didn't shake water all over the place, really good thinking on your part, guess i'll have to get up earlier.

cheers

Daisy is ever the lady and will not stand for her pedicure being messed up.:D No one can honestly say they have ever seen a prettier hunting dog than Daisy.

I doubt anyone has ever accused a gsp of being good looking.

good looks

you are right on that one but because that, the blood lines have held up and haven't gone the way of many of the sporting breeds, just like a good mother, i love them even if they are ugly, however if you remember in 2005 carlee won the big deal at westminister and add to that she was a colorado dog, pretty, she certainly was, could she find her food dish in wheat stubble, don't have a clue

cheers

Believe it or not Daisy is a feild/ bench bred springer mutt. Don't tell anyone who hunts behind her because bench bred springers aren't supposed to hunt.

lazy quail

i suppose with the attitude of the quail you have out there, she can wiggle her butt around enough to get a few of them up. jealous, would like to see her work or what ever she seems to be doing right, really confused about that beach ball dog you had, actually sorry you lost her, bogey, will be 15 in a couple of months so here it comes. he had a great run

cheers again

Well I'm planning a trip out to Montana next year and if I have time I'd like to make it down that way. JP and Daisy need a brace of Bobs, blues and mearns shot over them to complete the American quail slam. If I make it that way may Daisy can shake her but and get a few bobs up for us.

That sounds like a fun season ahead of you.

I need to work out the logistics but barring any bad luck I should have enough time off work and cash saved for atleast a 3 week trip.

My Daisy's pedigree says wirehair, but she looks pretty much like a shorthair. And she is a striking lady!:D Many people compliment her good looks, although she doesn't draw the, "AWWW, OMIGOD" crowd.

As you can see from the pic, my dogs are 100% kennel dogs.

Very good looking dogs Toad!:10sign: There must be something in the name.

Yeah, that damn kennel dog of mine slept on my bed last night! And the night before! Outrageous.

mixed breeds

what kinda luck ya having hunting them together or don't you? seems like a wild combination that would take lots of training to get the control one would need. right, does look like a shorthair but then i once saw a fuzzy shorthair or at least that's what the guy thought he had.

cheers
