Looking to do some trap/skeet sheeting around Olathe, KS

Hey all,


Getting a little birdy, ready for a new season and new Brittany pup....need to sharpen my shooting eye before November gets here. If anyone is interested in meeting up for some shooting let me know.

I'm all ears on suggestions on where to go. ????

Yup, it is that time of year where you should become acquainted with your hunting gun. A few rounds of Trap/Skeet will do that for you good choice. I don't live in your area so I cannot tell you a club to go to.....Bob

Haven't hunted outthere yet. Take my pup just about every evening to stretch his legs. We head over to the RC flying area where the grass is mowed and tics don't seem to be too bad. There are a few of us from the board that live in Spring Hill.

Have you run into any coveys out there?

I go out there to and run my dogs i like those bottoms justne of where your at ,you know where golden corral is theres a big pasture there and i run my pointers there alot.Two years ago i really nailed them there but last year i didnt find to many but they are there.Im a bricklayer so if i get rained out or to cold i go there, its close to home.

That's where I went. I normally run there to the west of the RC field but they were flying so I went around south and came in on the east side of the RC field. There is some awesome cover in there. Lots of thicket and plots. Needs some burning and get rid of that fescue. Was hoping to bump some birds....got some good pics with my phone.

Holy crap you're alive Jnormanh, glad to see you again. DeSoto has a trap/rifle range, it's where the Lenexa SWAT train. They have a range for a .50 cal if you have one. There's also one off of K-7 just east and north the K-10 and K-7 intersection, I'm not 100% sure of names but those are some you may want to try. Good luck and maybe I'll catch you guys out running the dogs one night...

Good luck trying to find birds there i have ran dogs hunted it there is no birds there! There is no sign of roosts or anything.I like it a little farther west.
