Youth large Uplan pants

Youth Large it says on the tag i bought them for my son a few years back and I think he wore them once and then did not have interest in hunting.
 
How old and about how big was your son when he wore them? My son weighs about 100 lbs and about 41/2 feet tall..... Wondering if these would work..
