Yips

Based on the last few posts, we need to start a new thread! This started out about us taking about our fails, but it seems we need to start one about our successes! If we keep this up the ammo guys stock values are going to plummet!
I think much of the time, the so called "Yips" comes down to gun fit, shell choice, and choke patterns. I always felt choosing the best and most expensive ammo had its benefits. After market chokes always seem to pattern better. I get lazy sometimes when buying a new gun and put off buying new Briley chokes, but always seem to go to them. Most gun manufacturers offer different recoil pads to adjust your LOP without cutting down the stock. Pattering your gun tells you which shims you need to shoot. There has been a lot of pheasants shot with 1 1/4 12 gauge loads but I have found the 1 3/8 puts more pellets in the 30 inch circle and more pellets in the bird. For superior to 1 1/4. I love a 20 gauge and hunt with one frequently but the 12 gauge is superior. Doing all this will improve the shooting for those "Yippy" hunters. It will result in more birds in the bag and less cripples left on the prairie.
