First time on. I own about 500 acres of prime Pheasant habitat. I am surrounded by prime pheasant habitat. I have released 1000 pheasants in the past on my property, but all were gone within weeks. I plant food plots.
I have winter cover. I have nesting cover, and I have water. I also have eagles, owls and hawks. I would love to have pheasants around my property.
Question is, what is the best way to make a serious try at this. My feeling right now is that pheasants will not survive in Wisconsin, period. No matter what. What do you folks think?
