Windproof/resistant mid layer

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good windproof/wind resistant layer for wearing under a hoodie or quarter zip? I prefer to wear them with my strap vest when it's cold instead of a coat with a built in bag.

Cabela's sells a number of layering clothing designed to cut the wind http://www.cabelas.com/category/Mens-Layering-Wind-Control-Clothing/105561180.uts

I think "Windshear" is the trade name they use. However, I don't know exactly how lightweight or heavy weight it would be to fit under a hoody. Most of that stuff I think you could use as the outer layer and put your strap vest over the top of it. I personally have a Wool Sweater with "Windshear" that I bought from Cabela's and it will keep you warm in some pretty low temps down close to 20 degrees. Lighter, breathable clothing like some of the Cold Gear products from Under Armor would be a good bet as mid-layer underneath the wind blocker outer layer.

If $ is a big deal the windbreaker idea Setter1 gave you might be the easiest fix.

I've looked at the windshear stuff, including the Cabela's Waterfowl sweater, just not sure how well it would layer under a hoody/quarter zip, and I'm trying to stick with wearing an all blaze top without getting something that's designed for deer hunters and thus heavily insulated.

Yeah the wool sweater with windshear is NOT something you would layer underneath anything, too heavy.

If your only going to be using it under a hoodie would it have to be blaze?

There are blaze jackets, 3/4 zip pull overs and such out there, but many can be quite expensive if they are lined with some form of windblocking fabric.
If money is not an object, here is one although not all blaze that could work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cabelas-GO...rproof-Softshell-Hunting-Jacket-/351194700646

Forgot to mention I also have one of these which I have worn under a blaze shell which works pretty good. https://www.amazon.com/Beretta-Mens-Barrier-Short-Sweater/dp/B00S0WXN8G
A lighter weight version of the Cabela's wool windshear sweater.

Sorry for the confusion, the mid layer doesn't need to be blaze, I meant I like to wear an all blaze outer layer and I can't seem to find a windproof/resistant one unless it's an insulated one designed for deer hunting, thus why I was looking at possibly getting a windproof/resistant mid layer to go under the blaze hoodie and quarter zip I have.

I've experimented with a number of jackets sweaters etc.. I'm a proponent of an outer layer that is lighter in weight yet wind resistant and most importantly not a cockleburr magnet. Fleece and wool while great layering garments are cockleburr magnets and thus I do not wear them as my outer garment unless I'm positive the field is free of them.
