Well they got a hold of me Friday and were flushing wild birds today and tomorrow I guess it was decided last minute decision and small selected groups. I be sure to post photos and update. Good to get us off the easy chair..lol

Lynn contacted me, but unfortunetly I have a St Patricks Day dinner to attend, would have been GREAT to go!
We'll all be waiting for your report!

Well not great news but we flushed 31 cockbirds and 18 hens from what I heard for this area which was a new area for me it was down 40-50% from last year. I'll know more tomorrow when we meet again.

Nice pictures.:coolpics: I got the call Friday but I wasn't able to help out. I hope things go well on Monday.

Thanks for the report and pictures, we've been waiting to hear from you. It might not be that bad, 49 birds from one farm! They may have just leveled their numbers off and spread out and I'm sure they are under constant pressure from predators. Thanks again and good luck tommorow. I'll bet Drake was happy to get out.

Drake came up alittle lame (stiff) late last night and this mourning so were going to have to sit out today dang we had fun. He ran full tilt yesterday getting on birds right away to the end he never really paced himself just full bore..lol might have something to do with the limes he had earlier in the year. I told her that we'd be good for Tuesday am she'll let me know if it's still on.

I'm sure most of our pups would have been sore after doing not much for weeks. It's different when you have short runs then go full bore all of a sudden.
I'm curious how they made out today!

Ya thanks he was a little stiff when I got up but a few hours later he was fine. But already made the decision not to push him. But fine now ready to go. Still waiting to here something.

Just got off the phone there canceling tomorrow. Numbers we're down but she said they do travel to neighboring Propertys to breed so that might account for some. They did do one farm that had I think 18 hens and 8 roosters.

Thanks for the update! I was a little concerned with the ratio in the first report, not so much the numbers. The ratio is completely different in the second report. I guess that's why the biologist make the big bucks! :)

To add unfortunately a few of the farms only flushed roosters. Guess we'll wait to see the numbers.

I think you guys are spoiled, those numbers sound pretty good to me! I don't think I ever flushed 50 pheasants on one farm. Thanks for the report and hope your dog feels better quickly!
