I am out hunting for my birthday weekend and will report the happenings when I get back but......................I had to share this.
Below is a video clip of what every dog handler prays for. Fine dog work from your older dog and your young pup figuring things out too and to have them produce a fine Iowa rooster for you.
I passed this bird. Max, who was being slightly annoying yesterday, did a big circle and was working game behind me. I have always wanted my dogs in front, thiking, if I have passed, there is no bird there. RIGHT!
SO Max circles around and e goes on point. I stand there for minute to make sure. I see Baja swing around towards Max an lock in. I walk up and take a photo opp(Breeding these two in the spring). I am taking my time.
I am basically thinking at this point that he must be on a hen. I walk in for the flush...............you guessed it! A rooster! I missed both shots, but luckly my buddy connected.
LIke the title says, I am not sure why they keep me around. I should have had a limit yesterday, but instead 3 birds have been allowed to repopulate the Iowa landscape.
