You're very welcome! As you know, it's mostly Ace. Without him, it'd just be me wandering around in the grass & cattails, hoping to step on a rooster.

Thanks! I was disappointed I didn't get the double, but that's just how those usually go. It was a conscious thing though. When that 2nd one flushed, I remember thinking, "Oooo, no, this is a good shot. Stay with it. THEN cream the 2nd one." Good decision. Poor execution. But that tail. I've shot a lot of pheasants in my day & never seen one anything like that. Weird that it was just the 1 feather. Rest of the bird was completely normal looking.

Yeah that main feather looked more like a hen tail and seemed very wide but with thin barring.
