Which species will you primarily pursue....

this opening w/e?

I know many of you are already gone, so you won't get to answer this, but whose primary focus will be pheasants and who is primarily targeting quail? Of course the obvious answer is I'll be trying to get a few of each, but you had to have prioritized one species over another in your trip planning.

Yes, it's the day before opener and I'm thinking more about hunting than work:rolleyes:

It's 12:15, I'm taking a half day vacation, and I am out.

Oh yeah, pheasants. Will report back Sunday.

Most of the time I am hunting Quail. If a pheasant gets in the way, he is toast, but I am after the quail.

My problem is that I have a stinking business trip that will keep me from hunting until the 2nd weekend of the season.

You guys better leave me some birds

Quail. I'm going to wait and see what you guys report for pheasant and maybe make a trip out towards Hays in December or January. I live in KC so it's primarily quail around these parts. I've actually only truly been pheasant hunting a couple of times. Growing up in Missouri, we always hunted quail because...well.. it's Missouri.

Depends on how many hunters are out on my grounds.if its a circus then i will be chasin beers at the bar,and wait til mon or tues and try to find both p and q.

Whatever I come across for birds and rabbit.:) I'm going to try a new place. They said I can go after rabbit as well as phez and other small game.Going to see how well my dog does on her retrieving.

quail for sure

quail for sure especially with a new dog i love hunting singles taking my time going back and forth by no means getting them all just taking my time by my self cause you quail hunters no it takes time and if your with other guys there wanting to keep moving and not let the dogs work i like to see where the covey lands and get close and just stand and let my dog work cant do that with parrots
