Which 16ga O/U

A 2010 version of Citori Grand Lightning 16 is in my safe. Shoot it very well. However, its starting to feel a bit heavy. Should have kept the Citori Lightning Feather 16 that got sold. Still have the Briley 28 Ga Ultra-Lite fitted tubes for it (won't fit the GL)

Got an itch that needs scratched. Always liked the 16 and have a gorgeous Ithaca 37 in 16ga that I love but I’m wanting on in an O/U. Looking at the Rizzini BR110 Limited and the Franchi Instinct Sideplate models.

Thoughts, preferences etc?
I've heard the Franchi's are prone to break down but they are nice for the $$. I just sold a FAIR SLX 600 16ga via the classified here on UPH. It was also listed on GunBroker so if that is the one you are referring to, you missed out. It is a beautiful gun for the $$.

Suggest you look at Rizzini which are super nice for the $$. The BR110 is a nice gun. Check out the Light Luxe model for hunting. I have the BR240 for clays - same action as 110. Very solid. Wife has a Venus and I also have both a Artemis Light 16 (which is my baby for hunting - see below) and a Regal EL Round Body with adjustable comb and ISIS recoil pad. I would consider selling the Regal if you are interested but it is pretty pricey. They sell new for over $9000.

I’ve read conflicting opinions. One is that the 16ga is a different gun manufacturer from the 12 and 20s from Franchi. For instance, the choke tubes on mine are the same used on the FAIR guns and many folks have noted almost identical internals to FAIR branded guns. Ask GPT and it will tell you that Beretta and Benelli and Franchi use various manufacturers across their models. Who knows. Doesn’t matter to me. If I shoot 200 rounds a year I’d be on the high side of it anyways. It’s a hunting gun. I have a 686 if I wanna bang out thousands of rounds a season at clays
