Where to go?

I'm from NW MO in the city of St Joseph. We bird hunt about every weekend here, but it's tough. There really are not a lot of birds to hunt on public land. My dad and I are wanting to make a day trip to Kansas. I want to travel but also not too far. It would only be us and our two dogs (lab and shorthair). Any opinions on where to start, what to expect, etc? Thank you all in advance.

Same story here. Public land. Not a lot of birds. Northwest would be the best bet according to KDWP reports.
