Just curious how much the state pay per acre for walk in land. Wonder if it varies by habitat or if it is a standard set price?

I have no clue, but Nebraska pays from $1.00 to $5.00 per acre. Sliding rate depending on the type and location. Kansas, I know pays a higher rate for ground in the eastern part of the state because land contracts are hard to come by. Lots of landowners sign on for the indemnification from liability as much as the cash payment.

In Ness County good Crp pheasant habitat is bringing 2 bucks an acre. It depends on how good the habitat is what it will pay.
