What a monster

I was down at the river bedding my woodduck houses:thumbsup: When I looked to the west. I said holy s&##:D What is that? It was a monster. It was I don't know I was a 1/2 mile away. So I drove over to it. It was scarey. It wasn't hairy. It attacked the teryx. Took a bite at the tire. I was terrified. I was amazed. It's got to be the biggest snapping turtle in the world. It's shell was bigger then a five gallon bucket both ways:eek: I'm stay out of the water after seeing that:)
 
Wouldn't that rascal make some good turtle soup, the real, not the mock? :)
 
up in Minnesota we used to catch them by the tail- buyer would pay $1.00 per pound

have some good stories of those days
 
Minnesota has a season on them and it's after they have laid their eggs and you NEVER, EVER see them after that. Great season....NOT!!!
