Vest

Check out Buck's Bags...excellent vest!

I second that, I have a Buck's Bag now for 3 years great piece of equipment, I love the back support strap for long walking days, tons of room and light weight. And a bonus is you get a stitched quail on the front pocket.LOL:cheers:

Been using the bird n lite strap vest for a couple years and really like it except the waist belt doesn't want to stay on my waist. It wants to be around my belly no matter how I adjust the strap. Does the wing works vest have this problem?

i just checked the wing works site and it looks like they are back up and running again. im thinking about ordering one with the grouse belt instead of the long ones. does anybody use the grouse belt option? im thinking i might like the shorter bags better. hmmmm what to do,,,,,what to do:confused:

I don't mind the long bags, but I like to over prepare. I might be away from the truck for several hours so I pack more stuff than most guys do. The vest is well worth the investment imo.

Long bags are nice. I keep my shells on one side and a camera gloves and my keys in the other.

They also hold another 2 water bottles on your hips if needed, leave them both empty, one full, one empty, or both full... the weight is not a factor. being right handed sometimes my left bag gets empty, feel the right and realize it has a box of shells inside that I hadn't pulled out from who knows when.

I would go large and leave em empty if need be

Contrary to that having the two big bags could enable this situation... Change "bad guy" for pheasants and "survival rounds" for bird killing machines!!! either way Costa does a good job of illustrating what "deep pockets" can do to ya!

Worth watching

I wear a Columbia vest, lots of room in it.
it doesn't have shell holders bu i found that a shell belt keeps the weight off my shoulders and neck anyway, which is important as I cannot put much weight on them.
