Went out for while today and was walking the fields and couldn't beleive I was still kicking up dust out of the grass a mile from any road. Area I hunted today was in sad, sad shape. All hayed and then grazed on top of that. Quite a bit of the land still had cattle on it.

Headed out again Monday for the last time this year for quail.

The ground was wet when I woke up this morning. A slight mist still lingers (appears to be what took place through the night). Scenting conditions should be improved for today and tomorrow, at least around here. Tired and sore is keeping me at home today:(......now it's time to prepare for all the things that take place in the off-season like baseball, mushroom hunting, fishing, and floats/walks along the creek:thumbsup:

If we don't get any rain, morels might be hard to come by,along with float trips. Hope we get the rain this week their talking about, just keep the storms to the southeast of us.
