There where some issues with the information on Onx showing information on the NWR's in the Dakotas that might mislead some hunters to think the refuges are wide open to hunting. Thankfully Onx is a great company and was more than willing to help make these changes. Some of the problems showed the refuges outlined in green or the same color as the WPA's which makes it look like they are wide open. And the other issue was there was verbiage that said Open Hunt Unit on the refuge. The hunters that didn't look any further just went waterfowl hunting or pheasant hunting and some were ticketed and some were not. In an effort to help hunters not get ticketed the FWS and Onx were able to make some changes. Unfortunately the changed didn't happen until late this winter but hoping most of you guys see the changes on your apps. Now the refuges should be outlined in orange and the term "Restricted B Special regs apply" should be displayed on most of the NWR's you see. Can some of you guys check your app please and verify the change? And again thanks to the guys at Onx!
