Third year out and definitly our best. 8 guys 8 dogs all on public land. stayed in Grenville to hunt ducks in am. did well. Not many pheasants in this area but we saw a few. Hunted mostly around Groton Bristol and Aberdeen. put up on average 30 ish hens and roosters most days. One day around 60 and the last over 100. Many were wild flushes ahead or hens but being from PA we saw things that we never get to experiance. The best when at the end of one field we put up about 15 birds at once. Not much by SD standards im sure but going out blind on public land and being from PA we were thouroughly satisfied with our trip. Many more birds from two years ago or two years before that. ALSO got checked by SDGFP near Bristol. A very nice young man, he was very professional and personable and treated us very well, even gave us some advice as where to try. IN PA your treated as a criminal untill they have exausted every option to try to nab you for some violation and if they cant then your innocent. What a difference from how we were treated in your state.
