Thinking about a weekend run to South Dakota. Any idea what the drive time would be from Denver to some good public land? Any suggestions on some places to hunt? Not asking for honey holes, just areas.
 
I hunted around Colombe / Dallas. Eight hour ride from Denver on a good day. Took me twelve coming back in hard snow storm. I was hunting private land with a large group. I did look for public lands while I was there but didn't see much. I am sure there are places with more properties.

Might want to use the satelite link also to check the to check the lay of the land.
 
I hunt around Pierre and North of there, from the Springs to there is 610 miles, time to get there depends on how you drive and how excited you are to get there. Seems like some times I find myself having to slow down as the ole truck wants to fly to get there.
