Training Birds

I'm looking for a place to get some chukar to do some traning work with two fresh dogs. Any place near NW Ohio or Southern MI to get some birds at decent prices? Plus maybe training grounds too?

Check "Michigan pheasant hunting" under the directory for this site. I've heard that you can get birds from the Dundee Pheasant farm near the Cabela's.

Try Sandy Ridge Game Birds (between South Bend and Fort Wayne) at 574/342-3139. No training ground, but they had chuker as of a few weeks ago.

Thanks I called them and they want $10/bird for chukars , thats $120 just for a dozen that will have to be used in a weekend/week. hmmm still looking i guess. local places have just disappeared over the last five years...

"hunted" here last year. Birds were OK.

It cost 7-8.00 bucks to raise a bird. $10.00 is a very fair price
