Training and Land Usage Group Help?

Hey Everyone,
I hope everyone is getting excited for fall. The purpose of this post is to see if anyone would be willing to let me or a small group use their land for some dog training this summer/early fall. Or if their is already a group that does this I would like to join. I have been hitting the basics with my new dog and it is time to get her to next level. I am not looking to send her out somewhere for a couple of weeks yet.. What I AM looking for is for someone who is experienced in training labs, has some land and potentially some quail or pigeions used for training and would also have the ability to mentor me. I would like to find someone or a group that does this maybe once or twice a week. I have no problem paying to use someones land and or paying for birds and for the training help.

The pup is not ready for large groups who's dogs are already trained and accustomed to gun fire.

I really am hoping to find a group or person(s) who would be willing to invite me out to their land 2 times a week to work with me and the dog on getting her on some live birds and introducing her to gun fire.

I have done just about all I can with the limited resources I have. She comes, sits, stays, heel on command..I have been conditioning her with cap guns and she is retrieving clipped wings out of heavy cover. Additionally, I am just starting to get her conditioned to Whistle training. (still cant get the poor girl to pee anywhere else but my living room carpet!)

If anyone has any interest in helping or any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

The perfect scenario would be someone who has a pen of pigeons..or would be willing to have a pen of clipped pigeons and would assist me in training at their location 2 times a week. Again.. I would be willing to pay for this service.

Thanks everyone!

The offer is still up for joining my training group this fall! I have a few younger pup's around your pups age I can work on those specific days. Also got all the resources, just need to secure birds once I get back up north Sep 4

Hey Smitty,
I am still onboard for the fall training group! Keep me updated. Thanks!

Hey guys- are you still doing training groups? We got our pup comin home at the end of march, and want to find a group to co-train later this summer and fall. We do an annual pheasant hunt with a group of buddies, and would love to be able to bring our new little guy with. We made mistakes with our lab, and now have a severly gun shy lap dog... Don't want to make the same mistakes with our new one, and end up without a hunting partner...

Meeting some people from here and training together would be pretty cool awesome too.

I'm hoping too later this year, probably starting sometime in June. I had to delay my plans due to guiding and what not at the end of last year. Do you have access to birds?

Sounds fantastic! Let me know which weekends in June/July you're free. My husband's in the military and has drill usually the 3rd weekend every month, but I don't usually have much going when he does army stuff. Do you have a pen to keep the birds? I live in the cities, and don't think I can keep them at my house, even if I get or build a pen.
