Tough Winter

How will this severe cold blast and snow affect the quail leading into the Spring?

Minimal effect. I would rather have cold and snow over rain and hail in may and june.

I now understand the damage that hail can do to wildlife. Yesterday I saw firsthand golf ball size hail falling for about 15 seconds. We had a tornado pass within a half mile of us and if it hailed like that for my period of time, there’s no telling how many quail / pheasant it would kill.

I’m with West.. as long as they have cover and food, they’ll be fine. They’re still coveyed up and will be awhile.
