-today's hunt 1-8-14

it's nearing the end now here in IL...today was last day of the season but they are extending it till next week on some state ground I hunt where they release pheasants. my young gun Ace had 2 points on hens of all things...but they're legal and I shot them. been a week since I've been out because of all the nasty weather and negative temps. good hunt...14 degrees felt like a heat wave. Going back tomorrow...hopefully for 2 roosters

If you don't mind saying what state ground is extending the season. I sometimes hit up Kankakee river to get some extra dog work in. It would be great to get some more hunting in as today I walked a couple of ditches in ford county but didn't get any. Just saw some hens.
