Ive totally enjoyed meeting new fellows on this forum. Some great folks here . I got to hunt once again this year in the great state of Kansas after some time off due to health issues. Seems in the 25 or so years I have been hunting pheasants I can almost remember every mile I walked and every sunset and still feel the 0 degree mornings LOL :D My wife God bless her got me a new dog this year to force me back huntn to enjoy life again. I finaly defied the odds as long as possible (13 yrs)the doctors tell me and want to do surgery now and I will not be able to hunt or take long walks anymore . I have what is called spondylolisthesis and has become unbarable. Anyway I have no regrets for I have enjoyed a many days hunt and fishn and trully enjoyed the outdoors. Will check in time to time see whats happnin. Hope the pheasants recoop a little. I am selling anything I can now to help get the surgery underway. Its very exspensive long way from home at Mayo Clinic and my insurance does not cover all of it . So if ya need a good dog or gun take a look in the classifieds for my sale add. Thanks and Good Hunt to ya all. Dave

Hang in there Dave!! Hope your surgery goes well!

Good Luck with the surgery. I hope that you recover and can get back to enjoying your life.

Thanks fellows, My problem is from my bottom vertebra being cracked, not fixable for a surgeon. They say it has one million nerves around it, they are going to try and keep me walking. I have had a bruise the size of a softball in the lower part of my back for 6 months, the muscles are trying to make up for the strain. It will all work out though I believe. Thanks you all ,Dave
