Be very careful outside, the ticks are out in force this year. I have picked off more ticks on myself then any other year that I can remember.
Make sure the pups are treated for them because otherwise they will be loaded with them.
 
Some crap I got off amazon took care of me so far in the turkey woods. But i didnt treat the dogs til after they each got a couple. Now theyre good. My wife absolutely freaks out when she finds a tick on the kids or in the house. Kind of entertaining really
 
I either use permetharine or 3M ultrathon but I have forgotten to put it on a few times and found ticks on me after a walk with Maggie., even back in March.
 
Tallstar plus. Its the bomb. No skeets, no tics all year. I had lymes once, it sucks. Check it out. Spray it on everything, kills 30-40 days. Heavy rain reapply. Dog safe when dry. Although I don't spray my dog yard direct, I spray around it, my training field, and everything else. Sitting outside in MN on any summer eve with not a skeet? Heaven. Nothing on my dogs, or me... (y)
