Here is a little time Odie had to spend at the vet last week. He broke a tooth at the Sportsman's trial in IL or just before. He still took 2nd. But I could tell he was off pace after that and delivering not as good. He whined as he drank water so I looked his teeth over real good and found the break. You could hardly tell. But any way he had surgery last tues, left for IL on Fri, and now has green light to train one day to go to Ohio tomorrow for a trial.:D Dam dog gets more vacation then me, costs me more at the dentist for better care. "Where the hell is my priority's" LOL.

That's one ugly picture FC.lol

Glad to hear the dogs still moving forward. Sounds like a tough pooch.

Where were you competing in IL?

LOL yeah the vet just emailed it to me. This is actually on the table with the gas tube still in. He also had a thorn stuck in his gum by another tooth, thats why it is all swelled up. He is pretty tough with all he's been through, you have no Idea, and it would take too dam long to tell the stories. TOlzen on here witnessed one of them out hunting here with me. I was at the DesPlains wild life area by Morris or Joliet. Stayed in Morris. River finished the Open trial as well but had a sub par 3rd so she was done. But I was happy having both there at the end again.

I have a friend in Morris. Her dad has a nice farm out there. He won't let me hunt pheasants until their #'s are up again. That may be awhile.

Des Plaines is what we call the war zone. I'm sure you know why. lol It can get pretty crazy out there.

Glad to hear you had a good trip (despite the injury). Hope that pooch of your heals up soon!

Well if you know of a good CRP patch, we could hold the trial out there and it useualy lets go at least 200 birds because you can't shoot or run offs etc. It always helps the area. Land owners see the birds there after the next year and want us back. They would love a new field to use for a day and a half. Des is too grown up with brush. And many areas are just unsafe with rocks etc. Then his bird #'s will jump fast.

You can't keep a good Springer down! That will heal in no time!:)
