I've been having a great late season this December. I've made it out every weekend in December (for one day each). Unfortunately (for me) my friends and brother in law are at the point in their lives where they are busy with kids so I've had to go alone. First weekend I had my limit by 12:30, next two birds under very wet conditions, next three birds in an hour and half and my bro in law and I battled yesterday's storm and got four having to quit early because the temps dropped and wind just got to be too much. Haven't been seeing a ton of birds but have been lucky to harvest all but one I got shots at. The ice is very sketchy and have broke through a number of times. One time up to my waist. Hoping to get out Jan. 3 for the last day. Of course we went to 9's and Saturdays at work so a Sunday day trip will be it. Just wanted to share my excitement.
