Speaking of Sagebrush if you have not seen the PBS Nature episode "the Sagebrush Sea" you really need to take an hour and watch it. I thought it was really really good. Some of the footage the caught was astounding. Here is a link to the full episode.

In SW Idaho or big game herds winter on cheatgrass and chukar live on it year around. With the drought/hot weather sage cant/wont come back and if they spray/kill off the cheatgrass we stand to loose there also. But of course cheatgrass is a non native but then again so are chukar and making are big game herds winter in these areas . Its common sense vs Ideology
