The hatch is happening in NW IA and replanting plots.

Another update on the plot as my fall fever increases. Was expecting to see seed heads starting to develop, but it’s still not quite there for a majority of the plot. Hopefully, that’ll come really soon. Planted June 19th so definitely later than I’d like.

Plot was nice and green and lush. The oats have seeded out now - to be honest, I thought they died off with the summer heat, but I’m glad to see that wasn’t the case. The millet is seeding out and the shorter Milo is as well. But, not so much with the taller Milo plants. Thought I’d share some pics, hopefully the next batch has full seed heads galore. The last pic here is a neat one - the right side shows lots of tall water hemp. Must’ve missed a little strip there compared to the left side.
