Thanksgiving Weekend Hunt

Anyone hunting this Thanksgiving weekend? I will be out in NW KS at the Happy Hunting Grounds. We have not yet hunted some of our places, so we are looking forward to encountering birds with no prior human contact, the best kind. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
 
Deer, not pheasants

I'll be hunting this weekend, but not pheasants. Here in Wisconsin we're in the middle of our 9 day deer season. But after not seeing any deer again opening weekend, I'm wondering if I should have followed a buddy out to SD to hunt pheasants.

Not sure about Thanksgiving weekend, I kind of promised my wife a weekend at home, but it's only 3 hours....so, who knows.

I hit a couple spots there last weekend on my way to Nebraska. Lots of birds. So far a good year. Good luck!
 
I will only get to hunt late Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Got to make up for being out of town opening week :D
 
I'm going to try to chase some birds. I really should keep working through the weekend but the seasons' going to over before we know it. Plus I need a break.

I will stop bird hunting only when the good lord says so! Tomorrow I will rest and enjoy family and good eats. Friday will put me in the switchgrass again!:)

For those of you not in the field, watch the Iowa game on Friday.
 
Yep its Thur with the family and then on the road again to Platte---and also for the next 3 weekends--there are still birds to chase.:cheers:
 
I've hunted EVERY Thanksgiving since before I became a father and/or a husband. I told my wife we could have a Thanksgiving at home this year, so we'll be watching the Macy's parade and cooking a turkey:) Good luck today gents:cheers:
 
Got a turkey on my egg as I type. Will be spending the day with family getting fat. But tomorrow, my son and I will be doing a little deer hunting. I have already had my SD trip this year:thumbsup: so I will have to settle for the deer until next year.

Headed to the cabin at Chamberlain tonight, after dinner settles a little. Gonna hunt Fri thru Sunday. My daughters getting married next Saturday, so this will be my last trip for about 15 days, but then... Im back..

lol now thats funny i was going today but to warm plus im a little hung over from a 3oclock morning whew!!!!!!! sat and sun for my first trip to the one and only great state of ks
 
I be Quailen Friday though Sunday. Oh and dove opened back up so might get a crack or two at late season doves.
