I just wanted to say Thank You to Jim A. out of Platte, South Dakota. He was so gracious to allow my 13yr old son and I the opportunity to hunt South Dakota roosters. We had never hunted in y'alls grand state. We have enjoyed the hospitality. The King's Inn is ran by some good folks.

Thank you Jim and maybe we will see y'all next year....

Hunt Report not so good. My son shot only twice. I shot one rooster (the one his missed the day before). I guess southern South Dakota was hit hard by the drought. Although we did see alot of birds on private land. Too bad folks these days won't allow a dad and his son the opportunity to shoot some birds or at least shoot.

I guess I would do the same if I owned primo pheasant land, naw on the other hand I would not . If a guy and his son came to me (which we did a couple of times and were turned down) and it was just them two and asked to hunt I would say yes. But then again I have old school values and come from a different time.

You gents do have a very nice state and good folks. Glad y'all voted for Romney, unlike where I live:eek:

Happy Turkey day and god bless...

don't give up Greg, keep trying next year, not everyone is motivated by money, there are some understanding folks in SD, you just got to find them.
you might have better luck getting on after Thanksgiving.....but risk the event of too much snow messing up a hunt.
