NJ decided to release some pheasants this weekend for a late January hunt. We took advantage of it and used it for a training session.These birds were BIG and moved like lightning! NJ does an excellent job with it's stocking program. We decided not to shoot any of the birds flushed and just concentrate on dog work. Lil Chip did fine and was happy to get out!
 
I don't know how I missed it. And I was hunting NJ Saturday morning. It would be great if PA would have a stocking in one of the last two months of the season.
 
There wasn't that much of a notice beforehand, yet there was a very good turnout. Like yourself some guys were just out anyway and thought they ran into some hold overs.
I think they "NJ" are seriously thinking about a late season! :thumbsup:
