Same in Indiana. They stopped logging because it was supposed to be "natural" but they nature lovers forgot, or never knew that fires were a regular natural occurence in our forests. Now it is not. So our "natural" forests are anything but natural. They are mostly sterile environments which offer fauna and flaura little in the way of habitat.
They are basically just expanses of big trees and little else.
