SWKS Second Weekend

Well I finally made it out to Kansas this year. I must say that although there has been a very serious drought and the bird numbers have been down I had the time of my life! I was invited out with a friend from work that has family out that way. We drove from Utah Tuesday night after work and arrived just before the sun started to crest over the horizon. We hunted Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. My 2 brittany's did better than I would have thought given the number of wild birds they have had shot over them in the past. The birds held well and we connected on several. I wish the drought to be over this upcoming year to get the pheasant numbers back up and to restore the crops to their prior form. I must thank all of you in Kansas for a trip of a lifetime. We did manage to find several coveys of Quail on Friday that were particularly fun to hunt. Here are a few pics.
