survey count is out

Bad news! Count is down this year in most of the state. I know that late freeze here in Southwest North Dakota hurt. Along with early mowing of hay etc. we took a hit,
With the mild winter we had last year it was prime for a bonanza but just didn't work out that way. Drought in this part of state didn't help either.

There may be lower numbers for young but I still think carry over of older birds was good so may be some trophy ones to make up for it.
 
Man ,thats a bummer. This will be my 10th year hunting ND. The populations have certainly decreases significantly since My first trip. I will go anyway , I love the friends I have made over the years and hanging at the local pub and cafe. Hopefully will find a few.
