we ended up getting a hen yesterday, we hunted with two german shorthairs. Gauge did very well. Never hunted with other dogs before. He went on point for this hen and the two gsps backed him. I was able to flush and shoot. Later on the gsps went on point and gauge backed them, i was quite impressed by this, as he hasnt been trained for backing or anything in that nature. Im super pleased, and it was a joy seeing him work with the dogs. He did have a little bit of a temper, he growled and bite one of them, they tried to take his bird from him. And when i was kneeling down to pet him the other dogs came up to be rubbed and he snarled at them. But over all he did good.
