St. Francis Area?

Hey I was just wondering how the bird population was up near the St. Francis area this year. I haven't been hunting north of I-70 this year, but a few people were planning on heading up there in the next couple weeks and I was thinking about joining them. I'm not really interested in anybody's honey hole, but just a general gauge of how things were looking so far this year. On second thought if you want to draw me a map to your honey hole I'll take it.:)

Any dog friendly hotels that someone could recommend would be great as well.

I hope everyone is having a great season and making a few deposits in the old memory bank.
 
spent some time there a couple times this year on my way to/from Hill City area (coming from Colorado), but, never had any luck. Always seems like things get a little better once I get 2-3 counties into KS.
 
Try the Homesteader Motel, they are hunter and dog friendly.
I've stayed there several times over the years...nice folks and clean rooms.
I have had good luck east of St Francis this season out around Bird City and east of there....that's about as specific as I'll get online.
