Spraying Sorghum

Do any of you guys know what type of chemical I can spray on some Sorghum I am planting for pheasants. I want to spray post emergence. I am not sure the variety, the seeds are about the size of 4 shot and are red.

You can spray Paramount for grasses post emerge. Be sure to use MSO and a 1/2# of atrazine with it. For broadleaves you will have to make a second pass, use some generic buctril or Aim or Priority(Aim+Permit) for broadleaves. The Aim will turn the sorghum white, but it will grow out of it. Huskie is also labled for Sorghum now.

You can, but you run the risk of laying the sorghum flat or making it brittle and having it break off. If you are going to use 2,4-D use when the sorghum is just coming out of the ground up to about 2" tall.

You can put atrazine and with a little crop oil postemergence and take out all the broadleaves as well as small foxtail. We use 1.5.lbs atrazine and 1 quart of crop oil per acre.
