Spirit lake

I would love to hear any reports about the Spirit Lake area. I have never hunted that area and I want to give it a try this weekend (11/4-5).
If anyone has any recommendations on places to hunt (public land), a place to stay (motel) and restaurants. I would greatly appreciate it.
It is just going to be me and my Draht.

How did you do? I saw this post and was hoping to see some responses as we might head that direction this weekend. This area has plenty of cover and birds and I would imagine it is best to get a little outside the main areas to get less hunting pressure. Looks like they are behind getting the crops out which should bold well for bird hunting over the next few weeks. Hope you enjoyed your hunt and had a few proud moments with friends -

I’ll be up there hunting the 12th-18th. I’ll post what we find and where. My family in the eastern part of the state had some decent hunts even with corn still being in.
We’re coming from Maryland.
