That's the right answer. There isn't a shell on the market, advertised for shooting pheasants, that won't kill them dead, and today's shells are miles better than the old fiber-wad shells of the past - which killed birds just fine.

If you feel better shooting 2 oz, or 1500 FPS, okay, but I'll take the experienced shooter with cheapo shells.
