South east area

I live in Missouri and was thinking of coming up to Iowa to do a little pheasant hunting since MO can't seem to produce much of anything except for turkey and deer. Would it be worth my time to hunt the southeast portion of Iowa? Road count says around 13 birds per 30 mile route.

There are fewer birds in that area but if you get after them early season you should be able find some. The farther north you can go the better the hunting. All the higher counts have been north of highway 20 but there are pretty decent populations all thru out the state.
