South dakota success

DeJavu is a pup Bob kept for stud fee from my son's dog (Prairie Trout's Bonnie) . Your dog has to go back to the Birchwood breeding I had in my first litter, 1990. Small world but then the Pudelpointer world is.

wow, sure is.......when my vizsla retires i will be back in line for another PP.....they are great dogs...when i get up that way again next season, maybe we can get together for a day.

Hunted near Kennebec this last week. This area normally has excellent hunting. The drought did a lot of damage. There was a good population this summer which seemed to be considerably less by hunting season. Grass cover is much lower and thinner than normal and food plots had less feed in them. Birds were bunched up much like they bunch up later in the year and they were extremely wild. There were less roosters than normal. We had two in our hunting party and shot 5 birds in 4 days. Normally I used to limit out in 2 hours or less when hunting by myself. Other hunters I talked to had similar stories. I was hunting on private ground.

Hate to hear that about the Kennebec area. I was planning a 5 day hunt there after Thanksgiving. My usual haunts in Nebraska are in bad shape, western Kansas, too, so I was hoping that Kennebec area would be okay. It usually doesn't get as much hunter traffic as the rest of the state.

Crapola. Better check out North Dakota.

Sounds good. Give me a heads up when you have your plans together next year. Chris and I should put two litters on the ground this year. Tukr and Fin Renard's I litter is one possibility. My last two breedings were with Tukazoe(Tukr and Zoey aka Prairie Trout's Calendar Girl) and I may do a third. He is a VC and is not too far away in Rice Lake Wisc.
