South Dakota Morning Breakfast

Ah the joy of living in a SD county setting:

Yesterday I picked from the road ditches near the farm a large bunch of wild ASPARAGUS, made a fresh loaf of caraway rye bread and for breakfast this morning had the following.

Two slices of bread topped with 2 poached eggs, canadian bacon, all toped with creamed fresh asparagus. AH the country life--it just doesn't get and better than this. :cheers: :thumbsup:

Good breakfast, but were there any birds in those ditches?

Where you find wild asparagus you will likely find wild pheasants--to many factors yet to be played out before bird season but I think we are off to good start--I see more birds than last year and really hear a lot more crowing--very good signs--here is hoping for the best :thumbsup:
