Small party hunting large grain fields.

When pushing a field either alone or with others, I(we) always stop about 30-40 yard shy of the end and wait. Many times after a bit, the birds, if they have been pushed there will get nervous and flush. Years ago when I did not do that, I would have birds flush behind me after I had already went out the end of the field.

Great thread here I wish I could add something but I really haven't ever hunted cut fields but sure am going to try now.

What is a dirty milo field. A cut milo field?

A dirty milo field may have some of the leaves still attached to the stalks OR weeds scattered throughout. Basically we're referring to any sort of additional cover to the milo stalks.
