Small Munsterlander

You fellas need to move some place where freedom still exists.

We've got 2, soon to be 3 dogs, chickens, 2 pigs (for eating), and at certain times of the year an assortment of homing pigeons, ducks, and quail.
We moved into a house that was zoned for all that. Then the nearby city instituted a hostile annexation, changed the zoning, and thinks people living in the country should have the same ordinances as people living 10 yards from each other. Not that I am upset about that, of course. No, not upset at all.

3 dogs and 4 domestic animals total. If you go above that, you have to get a "kennel license" and they make the police come out once a year to be sure you aren't eating them (or something like that).
I believe the city of Wichita passed an ordinance requiring dogs to be microchipped. I have one that is and one that isn’t. That’s pushing it too far.

"They" sure do like to push it, don't they?

They don't require it where we live, but I have done it of my own free will. The do require getting metal rabies vaccine tags for the licenses for all pets, including indoor cats. I always have to explain to the vet why I need a metal tag for the cat.
