So, I guess it's spring because the rivers are still up even though its July. Any reports about areas of bad winter kills or poor production?
I asked the state biologist about that area and in general he said based on their crow counts the numbers seem better than the long term average but worse than last year. Nests along water ways and lakes may have gotten flooded out but the upland birds may have had good success. Lots of growth for them to run and hide in.
