I have said that their web-site is still up and running with new guns being advertised. Just for yucks I ordered a new catalog. Arrived in the mail today. I don't think company's who are out of business send you new catalogs. They have a nice little line up of guns in it, all O/U's. along with accessory's gun cases, Etc.

I read and have been on Shotgun World. I say something doesn't add up.

I *think* this is the actual story about SKB: They stopped production for good about 2009. The remaining inventory of guns and parts, which is very large, was shipped to SKB Ohama (aka GU, inc.) distribution center. I haven't seen any specific numbers, but it has been stated that they have enough spare parts for at least 30 years, and they apparently a fairly large number of guns. They have been looking for a factory to resume production of SKB guns, but no deal has been done.

I notice they are still using the old SKB webpage with only a slight update.

My advice would be to buy an SKB if you're really interested in them. Hopefully they are alive and kicking as a company, or will be in the near future.

I like the older Ithaca imported SKB's best. Here's my 12 gauge 100. It's choked 6 & 17 points, and a handy-dandy little bird gun it is!
