Minutes away from mounting up and heading out to the Happy Hunting Grounds in NW KS. Expectations? Low. Hardly any birds last year and nothing to indicate a change for the better. Still, a hunter's gotta do what a hunter does. Lock and load! Good luck to all!

Good luck Britchaser, I’m right around the corner…Drove around a bit yesterday afternoon and am cautiously optimistic. Saw about 8 birds in a 30 minute drive. Be safe and have fun!!!

I can remember day hunts that were birdless, or at least roosterless, when the dogs and I had a great time. We shared a sandwich or whatever I had and just relaxed. Enjoy our great outdoors.

Good luck. The reports I am getting from my friends with a farm in Norton/Decatur counties area are not good.
